Hosting Training

Thank you for your interest in hosting training with the Georgia Forensic Academy (GFA). The following information will assist you in making an informed decision regarding hosting a course with the GFA.  Below is an explanation of the roles of the Host Agency (heretofore referred to as “Host”) and that of the GFA.

The Host will serve as a liaison for the GFA. The Host is responsible for providing the training facility with AV Equipment. The Host is also responsible for assisting with promoting the training and handling any local logistic arrangements. The GFA asks that the Host be available at all times during the course to assist with any troubleshooting, equipment needs, and other logistic arrangements.

The GFA is responsible for processing all registrations, providing all training supplies and their shipment (unless otherwise agreed upon by the Host and the GFA), and providing quality certified Instructor(s). Instructors and staff will work with the Host to ensure everything is prepared prior to the training. Hosts are encouraged to provide light snacks or drinks to attendees, but this is not required.

Training Facilities and Lodging

The GFA requests that the Host select a site that can provide adequate space for attendees and a screen that will be visible to all attendees. Please ensure the space is well-ventilated, well-lit, and free of outside distractions. The training facility must have a work surface for each attendee. Attendees will need unrestricted access to restrooms in close proximity to the training facility.

The Host is responsible for contacting at least two safe, clean, and convenient hotels for attendees for the length of the course and requesting a discounted rate for attendees. If obtained, the Host should provide the discounted rate and code information to the GFA for distribution to all attendees.

The GFA requests that the Host pre-arrange the necessary training equipment, which may include LCD Projector and screen, speakers to play audio, laptop connections, and Instructor access to the Internet.
